Almost every wintery Friday night of my childhood, my parents would take my sister and I to Barnes and Noble. I would get a hot chocolate from the front of the store and then charge through the Frog and Toad arches into the greatest place on earth: the children’s section.

I have been deeply in love with Picture Books my entire life. Whilst I have entertained other career options (olympic gymnast, ballerina, dog walker, fashion designer, etc.) and partaken in other careers (dresser for theater, prop department manager for Darling Magazine, etc.) I always knew my home was in children’s illustration and writing stories. My only hope in this life is to bring a little bit of magic, warmth, and comfort to someone else’s wintery Friday night.
